October 29 - Start of New Internship in New Department
Today I began my second internship at TWEC. I was rehired for the holiday season to work in the Visual Merchandising department. My title is now a Graphic Design intern. I'm working one day a week, so the commute to and from Albany is not as tedious as last semester. I'm not doing this for credit, but instead as a portfolio builder. My two new supervisors are excited for me to start working because I had a good recommendation from the Human Resources department and E-Merchandising department on my work ethic.
I signed several contracts on my internship for the start of my day. I was given a tour of the Visual Merchandising department and assigned my new cubicle and MAC COMPUTER! I was given work right from the start. I began working on projects based on pre-sale merchandise. I was working in Adobe InDesign (THANKFULLY I PRACTICED WITH THE PROGRAM BEFORE I STARTED). I was working with generally pre-made layouts and fonts that were directed towards FYE's branding. I briefly used Adobe Photoshop to edit the pictures I was working with. To obtain the pictures, I was utilizes the movie companys'(?) websites that TWEC subscribes to. It was violate copyright without the permission for the use of the pictures. I worked on about 10-14 different projects for the day.
It was also the Halloween office party. It was a pretty relaxed day for the most part, but I could see the tension from the Christmas rush throughout the office. Everyone was talking about how they were working from home on the weekends. Towards the end of my shift, several of my co-workers brought in their children to trick-or-treat (unfortunately I missed the memo for bringing candy for them). We were also given cider and donoughts.

May 20th
Today was my last day interning at my office. It was beyond different from any other day I have worked. It was actually my least favorite day. Today we had to sort the memorabilia that we were auctioning off and put the certificate of authenticity with each of the pieces. There was so much stuff and it was so unorganized.
I was given cupcakes from my co-workers since my birthday was the next day. It was really nice gesture, and a delicious one!

I continued working on the Bullet for my Valentine mailing promos, along with the Drowning Pool mail promos. More buyers ordered the cd's within the past week, so I had more mailings to do.
After the promotions I worked on a Sex and the City promotional webpage since Sex and the 2 is coming to theaters soon. Buyers will receive movie passes with every season dvd they purchase.
After the webpage, I worked on the new DVD release schedule again and did updates to changes that were made to the list.
I did my final Rebate update today too. I will not miss those.
May 13th
Today I did a new release search of DVD's and CD's through Amazon, and compared them to my company's new release schedule. With this information I updated the new release schedule for my company. Lot's of good cd's and dvd's are being released within the next few months!
I also continued doing a Rebate Report File Update.
May 11th
Today, I started another rebate update for upcoming sales and promotions. Since I've started my internship, I'm faster at completing the files now. I also did a mail promotion for Bullet for my Valentine and Drowning Pool's new CD's. I got both of their CD sleeves autographed, which I'm very excited about.
